Spice Girls Emma Bunton, Mel B and Geri Horner confirm a reunion
They’ve been teasing us for quite a while
but now it’s been made official.
Spice Girls Mel B, Geri Horner and Emma Bunton but it seems they will be reuniting under new band name, ‘GEM’.
According to the Metro. the girls made the announcement today (July 8) in a video released on their newly created YouTube account ‘Spice Girls – GEM’ (which, we’re guessing stands for Geri, Emma and Mel B).
The video celebrates the band’s 20th anniversary of their debut single ‘Wannabe’ and in it, the girls thank their fans.
Mel B says, “We’ve been thinking – we have the best fans in the whole entire world.”
Geri adds, “You’ve stood by us for 20 years and we want to say a big thank you.”
Then Emma chimes in, “We’ve had our ups and downs, but you’ve always been there.”
“We want to celebrate and have a party and when we do, you’re all invited!”
After all, the group reunited to perform a compilation of their greatest hits for the closing ceremony of London’s 2012 Olympic Games, and they were quite awesome, weren’t they?
There’s still no sign of Posh and Mel C however, as the pair have made any kind of reunion difficult by stating they would never come back.
Now ladies, tell us what we want, what we really, really want!
