Steps’ Claire responds to Simon Cowell’s ‘X Factor’ shade

Steps singer Claire Richards has responded to Simon Cowell’s not entirely complimentary comments about the group on The X Factor yesterday (August 31).
Following an audition by mixed gender group Only The Young on the second episode of the new series, Cowell expressed a desire to put together a new pop group like Steps, but with “better people”.
Responding on Twitter, Richards said: “I’d like to find another Steps but with better people in it!!” What Simon!!!!! Maybe you should have signed us when you had the chance???!” See her tweet below.

Back in 2012, Steps reunited to release a new greatest hits collection and a Christmas album, as well as embarking on two UK tours.
