Taylor Swift’s new app The Swift Life has become overrun by homophobes and Donald Trump supporters.
The app, which launched on December 14, offers ‘exclusive footage’, Taymojis and a Tumblr-like news feed but within 48 hours of launching, it became a hub for political chat.
Liberal and conservative fans began arguing over politics shortly after it launched, and several users have claimed their posts were deleted.
Things then only got worse when a post by a Trump supporter went viral on the app.
The post read: “Republicans and Trump supporters have just as much a right to be here as everyone.”
“There are people who voted for him or may vote Republican but didn’t vote for him. They may not agree with his beliefs but at least he supports our troops. Sorry but everyone has a right to vote for whoever they want”.
According to the Telegraph, the post spurred a heated discussion in the comments, which saw one user write “I just don’t accept gays lesbians and bisexuals”.
