‘The Apprentice’ returns: Meet the new candidates

The new series of The Apprentice kicks off next week (October 14) on BBC One, and the new hopefuls who’ll be battling to for Lord Suger’s investment have finally been unveiled.
The 10th series features a colossal 20 candidates, including hypnotherapist Sarah, social worker Steven, bank manager Sanjay, dance teacher Jemma, and accountant Roisin. Lord Alan Sugar will once again be joined by his trusted aides Nick Hewer and Karren Brady throughout the process.

James Hill
Multiple business owner James Hill says that his nickname is “Del Boy”, and describes himself as a “bit of an opportunist”.
Daniel Lassman
27-year-old Daniel runs his own pub quiz company. The Essex boy’s first job was a season playing for Hornchurch Football Club.
Steven Ugoalah
29-year-old social worker Steven believes that he is “perfect” and describes himself as an “excellent negotiator and pitcher”. The Canadian says that having learnt from all of his mistakes in life, he doesn’t have “any regrets”.
Sanjay Sood-Smith
A self-professed worrier, senior banking manager Sanjay says: “Out of every 10 people I walk past on the street, I think I’m better looking than nine of them.”
Robert Goodwin
25-year-old marketing manager Robert says that he is “fearless”, but admits that his directness can be taken as rudeness.
Solomon Akhtar
Technology entrepreneur Solomon says that his “over-enthusiasm can annoy people”.
Scott McCulloch
Clinical development strategist Scott has no patience for time wasters, and says that people appreciate his direct approach in business.
