The CW’s ‘The Flash’ to introduce two gay characters

The CW’s new DC-based sci-fi series The Flash will introduce two gay characters during its first season.
Show producers Greg Berlanti and Andrew Kreisberg explained that one character – who already features in the DC universe – will debut in the first 12 episodes, but refused to give further details about the character’s identity.
The new character will be the show’s second LGBT character, in addition to David Singh, who will be played by Patrick Sabongui.
Berlanti and Kreisberg told The Huffington Post that the first 12 episodes of The Flash don’t deal with Singh’s sexuality, but suggested that it will be explored in later instalments.

Set to debut on US network The CW in September, The Flash centres on a socially awkward police forensic investigator called Barry Allen, who will be played by Grant Gustin.
