Ben Platt is currently enjoying a bit of a moment: After coming out publicly earlier this year and landing the lead role in Ryan Murphy netflix drama The Politician, the 26-year-old is quickly establishing himself as one of Hollywood’s fastest-rising stars.
Platt, who publicly acknowledged his sexuality for the first time with the Charlie Carver-starring video for debut single ‘Ease My Mind’, made his name in Broadway musicals including The Book of Mormon and Dear Evan Hansen, and put his vocal talents firmly on display when he teamed up for a duet with another of our faves, Kelly Clarkson, on The Kelly Clarkson Show this week.
The pair belted out a duet of Bob Dylan’s ‘Make You Feel My Love’ on Clarkson’s new daytime talkshow, and were clearly feeling the love after the show-stopping performance.
“I sang with @kellyclarkson thanks to @KellyClarksonTV and it was a VERY JOYFUL EXPERIENCE,” Platt wrote on Twitter and the show.

Teasing the prospect of more duets, Clarkson replied: “I will sing with you anytime, anywhere! ❤️ you are such an incredible talent!”
