Troye Sivan has opened up his Melbourne home for an intimate photoshoot with interiors bible Architectural Digest.
The ‘You’ singer‘s abode was formally a handball court erected in 1869, according to the publication, before being converted into a brick factory in 1950 and a residence in 1970.
The 25-year-old – knowns for hits like ‘My My My!’ and ‘I’m So Tired…’ – also has a home in LA, but moved back to his native Australia because of the pandemic.
“Unquestionably Australian”
Asked what someone unfamiliar with him would surmise simply from looking around his home, Troye said: “I’d hope they’d think that I’m an unpretentious guy, maybe a bit eccentric, someone who loves art and design, someone devoted to his family—and definitely the fact that I’m gay.”
According to the AD feature, the home features art by the likes of Gregory Hodge, Tom Polo, and a wine cellar turned ‘fantasy powder room’.
Sivan called the pad “unquestionably Australian, from the plantings in the garden to the art on the walls.”
He added: “I was living in the States for about five years, longing to be in Australia, before the pandemic brought me home. As much as I’ve missed touring and seeing people, it’s been cool to be forced to stay still for a second.”
The new issue of Architectural Digest, out now, also features a shoot in the home of supermodel Naomi Campbell (below).
