This short film about gay love and homophobia will break your heart
By Umar Sarwar
As Madrid Pride week begins, Spanish-language LGBT news service Shangay has creative a powerful short film with director David Velduque called ‘Por Un Beso’ which translates to ‘For A Kiss’.
The film follows two men, Tomas and Andrea who fall in love and plan to live their lives together – before being tragically torn apart.
Madrid is a beautiful city and home to one of the best place to celebrate pride. Sadly, homophobic attacks still happen around the world and the short film reminds us of that. LGBT people still face fear and violence even in times when we least expect it or when we feel most safe.
