Tilda Swinton: ‘I always felt I was queer’
The Human Voice star says "I was just looking for my queer circus, and I found it" in new interview.

Tilda Swinton has shared that she has always felt “queer” in a new interview.
The We Need To Talk About Kevin star opened up about her relationship with the “sensibility” in a new interview with British Vogue.
In it, she also pays tribute to her “queer circus”, including filmmaker Luca Guadagnino. Luca, who is gay, has directed Tilda in films such as A Bigger Splash and Suspiria.

“I have a family with Boon Joon-ho”
“I’m very clear that queer is actually, for me anyway, to do with sensibility,” Tilda told the publication. “I always felt I was queer – I was just looking for my queer circus, and I found it. And having found it, it’s my world.”
The star added: “Now I have a family with Wes Anderson, I have a family with Bong Joon-ho, I have a family with Jim Jarmusch, I have a family with Luca Guadagnino, with Lynne Ramsay, with Joanna Hogg.”
Tilda famously starred in the 1992 movie adaptation of Virginia Woolf’s novel Orlando, in which a British nobleman transitions gender and lives for 300 years.
She will next be seen in The Human Voice, the new short film by Pedro Almodóvar.
