The title of the forthcoming US sitcom based on the coming out story of gay footballer Robbie Rogers has been revealed.
Titled Men In Shorts , the half-hour comedy has been picked up by US network ABC, and will centre on a young professional football player who decides to come out to his friends and family.
The comedy will be written by Claudia Lonow (The War At Home) and Jordon Nardino (Desperate Housewives), reports Deadline, and Rogers himself will serve as a producer.
The soccer star shared his excitement about the show on Twitter earlier this week – see below.

Rogers, an Attitude cover star earlier this year, came out as gay in February 2013 after retiring from professional football, but has since returned to the game and now plays for US team LA Galaxy.
Men In Shorts will debut on ABC at a yet-to-be announced date in 2015.
