Tom Aspaul releases new EP, ‘LEFT’

By Josh Lee

Tom Aspaul’s new EP, LEFT, hit iTunes today (November 4). Influenced by everyone from N*E*R*D to Girls Aloud, the four-track record promises a fusion of pop, dance and R’n’B, with Tom’s trademark androgynous vocals tying the eclectic influences together.

Determined to sit firmly in the driving seat, Tom told us that he tried to “maintain as much control as possible,” when it came to creating the EP, from designing the artwork to overseeing mixing. “It’s been pretty stressful,” he admitted.

Having written for the likes of Kylie Minogue, Karen Harding and AlunaGeorge, Tom’s music credentials have already been more than proven. And now, with Left, Aspaul’s ready to show the world what he’s made of in earnest. “These songs have been sitting, unheard for such a long time,” Tom explained.

“I’m just really glad they’re out there!”
