Award-winning screenwriter Dustin Lance Black also celebrated the day by sharing an image on Instagram.
He wrote: “ONE YEAR: this was the beginning of a beautiful year and a wonderful life together. #HappyAnniversary”.
Daley and filmmaker Lance Black were introduced at a party in LA early 2013 and quickly embarked on a relationship. Daley, who won bronze medals at both the London 2012 and Rio 2016 Games, came out publicly later that year in a YouTube video in which he acknowledged the pair’s relationship for the first time.
After getting engaged in October 2015, the couple married in a gorgeous ceremony at Devon’s Bovey Castle in May last year.
Meanwhile, the pair announced in February that they were having a baby via surrogate. However, the couple were hit with backlash as people questioned their decision to use a surrogate.
The fathers-to-be have been forced to defend themselves from critics but still found time to celebrate their impending fatherhood by throwing a surprise baby shower last month.
