Tom Daley documentary set to offer ‘intimate’ look at life and relationship with Dustin Lance Black
An upcoming documentary about Tom Daley is set to give viewers an ‘intimate’ look at his life.
ITV have partnered with production company TwoFour for the documentary called, Tom Daley: Diving For Gold.
According to the Metro, it will provide an insight into the 22-year-old Olympic bronze medallist’s preparation for Rio 2016, as well life since going public with his relationship with Hollywood screenwriter fiancé Dustin Lance Black.
Neil Edwards, the Senior Executive Producer of TwoFour, said: “It’s a privilege to have such intimate access to one of Britain’s best loved and most talented Olympians.
“Tom’s four-year journey from London 2012 to Rio 2016 is the latest gripping chapter in a story we’ve all been following since he burst into the public consciousness as a young boy.
“As a nation we’re emotionally invested in Tom Daley, and I’m delighted TwoFour and Tom continue to share our close relationship and will be bringing his exhilarating sporting and personal story to the screen through ITV.”
Tom recently got us all ‘awww’-ing after being reunited with Black and sharing an adorable photo of the pair in bed together over Pride in London weekend.
After finally being reunited following the wrap of Dustin’s new LGBT drama series When We Rise in San Francisco, the pair recently jetted off to Spain to enjoy some QT before Tom jets off the Brazil for the beginning of the Games on August 5.
All we can hope is that camera crews will be capturing more scenes like this in the documentary:
Tom Daley: Diving for Gold is set to air on ITV this summer, and if you haven’t taken a look at Team GB’s new diving kit, we suggest you do so immediately.
