The event at the Metropolitan Museum of Art returned to its usual May-slot for the first time since 2019.

Tommy Dorfman delivered a strong message to “protect trans kids” while stunning in a green latex dress at her first Met Gala last night.
The 29-year-old, who came out as trans last year, wore the gown by Christopher Kane and paired it with a small green marbled purse with the message inscribed upon it.
Elsewhere, there were looks aplenty as celebrities descended on New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art for the annual event on Monday (2 May) with this year’s them being: ‘gilded glamour’, harking back to the economic boom in the late 19th Century America.
As usual, this evoked a variety of responses and we’ve put together a list of some of the most eye-catching looks
