Transgender man comes out to family, friends and colleagues in light-hearted YouTube video

By Samuel McManus

Henry Tadebois, 24, from Melbourne has come out via YouTube in a light-hearted video, made with the help of his best friend.

The train driver explained to his viewers how he has usually represented the ‘L’ of the LGBTQIA acronym, but is now represented by the ‘T’, as he is transitioning.

In the video, Henry jokes that he will soon be getting a deeper voice, growing bodily hair, getting a few zits, and even starting to smell.

On a serious note, Henry did announce his new name to the world in the video, as well as asking people to become acquainted with the ‘he, him, his’ pronouns that will be associated with his new identity.
