Trixie Mattel, Frankie Grande and Jazz Jennings are just some of the LGBTQ stars set to appear in an upcoming live web series from LGBTQ social network app Taimi.
Taimi, the world’s largest LGBTQ platform to feature both a social network and dating app, will welcome a variety of inspiring queer people to speak on the platform later this month as part of ‘Taimi Talks’.
Launched last year, the return of Taimi Talks will sees guests address important LGBTQ issues and discuss potential solutions to problems facing the community during the global pandemic.
One of the most entertaining parts of the event will be an exclusive concert with Dolly Parton-loving, Billboard-charting drag queen, Trixie Mattel.
During the Taimi Talks event – which takes place on 16 May at 10pm BST (5pm EST) – the RuPaul’s Drag Race star and folk singer will treat the audience to performances of her hit songs, answer exclusive interview questions and deliver her personal take on what it means to be LGBTQ today.
Joining Trixie on the bill is TV personality Frankie Grande, as well as trans trailblazer and star of I am Jazz, Jazz Jennings, who will deliver a Taimi Talk on the challenges of being transgender in modern American alongside her brother, Sander.
Also speaking at the live online event will be Jake and Hannah Graf, who will discuss their experiences as a high profile transgender couple and new parents: Hannah is a former British Army officer who has been deployed in Afghanistan, Kenya and Canada, while husband Jake is an award-winning actor, writer and film director.
“It is so important to talk about allyship”, says Alex Pasykov, the founder and CEO of Taimi.
“I’ve made it my personal mission to bring the fact that many cisgender straight folks can help improve the lives of LGBTQ+ people around the globe. It is important that we focus on how each and every one of us can contribute to a kind, understanding and progressive society.
“So, events like Taimi Talks that not only highlight the problems, but also share inspirational stories, provide entertaining content and give people hope are an important part of what Taimi does as the world’s largest LGBTQ+ platform.”
“Last year we kicked off Taimi Talks to great success!” adds Diana Ly, Head of Global Partnerships at Taimi.
“This year, the event is set to gather really incredible people. I believe that Taimi Talks are exactly what our world needs today to see that there is a brighter future, there is a way out, everything will definitely and most certainly be alright.
“As long as we are together, as long as we are strong, as long as we are resilient!”
Taimi Talks will air live on 16 May at 10pm BST (5pm EST) on Taimi — the world’s largest LGBTQ+ platform.
