Trophic Thunder star Brandon T Jackson says he is on ‘thin ice’ with God after playing a gay character.
The actor – who describes himself as a Hebrew Israelite – played rapper Alpa Chino in the satirical comedy and his character is revealed to be gay.
He also starred in the Big Momma series where he goes undercover with Martin Lawrence’s character as two women after witnessing a murder.
But now, the actor has told TMZ that he believes God is punishing him because he played a gay character and wore a dress in his movies.
He said: “When you break a law, you get punished. So, nothing went right, not just in my career but in my personal life.
“You shouldn’t wear things pertaining to a woman. I think I was on thin ice then, with the father. But he had mercy. And his grace was there.
“I don’t regret anything in my journey, I just know that my power source only allows me to do what I’m able to do.”
