Troye Sivan unveils heartbreaking new track ‘The Good Side’

We need a large wine.

By Will Stroude

After announcing his brand new era with the cruisy, sexy video to ‘My My My!’ last week, Troye Sivan has served up a muted, moving offering from his new record.

Co-written by Leland, Bram Inscore, Allie X, Ariel Rechtshaid and Jack Latham, ‘The Good Side’ see Sivan in pensive form as he mourns the loss of a relationship.

The sparse acoustic tune should draw pretty strong comparisons to gay favourite Sufjan Stevens, and it certainly wouldn’t sound amiss next to the US singer-songwriter’s recent contributions to the Call Me By Your Name soundtrack.

Of course, this is all incredibly good news indeed.

It’s not yet known whether ‘The Good Side’ will serve as the second single from Troye’s new album or whether it’ll simply serve as a promotional single, but so far all the signs point ot Troye hitting the highs of his 2015 debut, Blue Neighbourhood, which spawend singles including ‘Wild’ and ‘Youth’.
