Twin brothers come out as gay to their mum – and her reaction is adorable
19-year-old Luc and Cooper had some big news to share.

Whatever stage you’re at in life and whatever family you come from, coming out to your parents for the first time is almost always a daunting experience.
For twin brothers and YouTube personalities Luc and Cooper Coyle, 19, their sexuality has been the “elephant in the room” at home for some time now.
“Not that we’re not close with out mum and our parents,” Cooper explains in a video posted by the siblings last week. “It’s just we haven’t been able to be that close these past few years because of this one thing that’s holding us back.”
As well as confirming their sexuality to their 35,000 subscribers, Luc and Cooper decide to share the moment they officially tell their mum what they suspect she’s known all along: that they are gay.
Her adorable response is pretty much parenting 101.
“Okay… so what?” she tells her sons, who stall for 20 minutes before plucking up the courage to tell her over the phone.
“As long as you’re happy, and you know who you are, that makes daddy and I happy.
“We’re happy if you’re happy.”
The twins’ mum continues: “If this is who you are, then this is who you are. You’re born that way. You’re not different from anybody else.
“You’re my babies, I love you, daddy and I are always here to support you.”
A visibly relieved Luc replies: “That makes us so happy to hear. We know how loving an accepting you are but it’s still a little nerve-wracking. I don’t know why.”
“I’ve realised other people aren’t as lucky as us to have a mum like you. We want to thank you for when we were growing up because you never pressured us to be someone else.”
While there’s nothing but love for her sons in Mrs Cooper’s heart, she’s still got some choice words for anybody who’d make an issue of the fact her boys are gay.
“Always just be who you are. Never hide who you are,” she tells Luc and Cooper.
“And if anyone ever said anything or did anything [to you], I would f**king scratch their eyes out.”
There’s nothing like a mother’s love, right?
