star Clarissa Dickson Wright has died at the age of 66.

The TV chef – who appeared on the BBC show with the late Jennifer Paterson – passed away at Edinburgh Royal Infirmary on Saturday (March 15), BBC News reports.

Her agent said in a statement: “Her fun and laughter, extraordinary learning and intelligence, will be missed always, by so many of us.

“Loved dearly by her friends and many fans all over the world, Clarissa was utterly non-PC and fought for what she believed in, always, with no thought to her own personal cost.”

Dickson Wright fronted three and a half series of Two Fat Ladies until Paterson’s death in 1999.

Dickson Wright, a recovered alcoholic, would have celebrated her 27th year sober this June, which her agent has revealed “meant much more to her than another year on the clock”.

Before becoming a much-loved TV personality in her fifties, Dickson Wright was a successful barrister – and at one point was the youngest woman ever to be called to the Bar.
