Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt is set to return in an ‘interactive’ special next year.
The hit comedy – created by Tina Fey and Robert Carlock – starred Ellie Kemper, Tituss Burgess, Jane Krakowski and Carol Kane and was one of the first Netflix exclusive TV series.
The series ended after a four-season run back in January this year and although all the storylines were wrapped up, it appears we will see the hilarious characters back on our screens once more.
While at the Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt FYSEE panel, Fey revealed the show will return for an interactive special.
She said: “We’re thrilled to announce that we’re about to start production on an all-new Interactive Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt special, set to debut on Netflix in 2020.
“Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt was one of the first original comedy series on Netflix, and now it will be its first interactive comedy event.
“Fans will be able to make choices on behalf of our characters, taking different story paths with, of course, different jokes.
“I think it’s a great fit for our show and will be a great way to officially complete the series.”
During its run, the series landed a number of celebrity cameos including Jon Hamm, Gregg Kinear, Lisa Kudrow and Zachary Quinto.
