Union J pull out of Pride Cymru, replacements announced

Union J have cancelled their appearance at Pride Cymru in Cardiff next Saturday (August 16).

The former X Factor boyband will instead appear on BBC One’s National Lottery show that evening.

Writing on the Pride Cymru Facebook page, organisers said: “We have been informed that Union J have cancelled their performance at Pride Cymru. Instead they will appear on the National Lottery television show on the same evening. It is understood that they have been required to do this by their record company.”

Organisers have confirmed that Britain’s Got Talent winners Collabro and Black Heart girlband Stooshe will replace Union J on the lineup.

Meanwhile, his bandmate Thomas Redgrave has revealed that he has a penis piercing, and that his bandmates are “weirdly” keen to see it.

Collabro and Stooshe will join acts including Misha B and The Big Reunion’s Eternal at the Cardiff Mardi Gras event, which will also feature a fun fair, a cultural market with arts and crafts, and a social hub for LGBT people offering advice and support.
