Update: Joan Rivers ‘brought out of medically induced coma’

Joan Rivers has reportedly been brought out of her medically induced coma.
The legendary comedian is expected to be assessed by doctors today (September 2), who want to determine the extent of brain damage, according to the New York Daily News.
Rivers is currently being treated by staff at The Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, where she was admitted to undergo a procedure on her vocal cords last Thursday (August 28).
She reportedly suffered a cardiac arrest during surgery, and was rushed to the hospital’s emergency ward. At the time, she was said to be “in critical condition”.
