Vanessa Hudgens: ‘I don’t see people as gay or straight’

By Josh Haggis

Vanessa Hudgens has insisted that she doesn’t define people by their sexuality.

The High School Musical star, who can currently be seen in the Broadway revival of Gigi, told GLAAD in a new interview that she “doesn’t see people as gay or straight,” and will love anyone regardless of their sexuality as long as they’re a “good person”.

“People can be very close-minded and I think it’s not right. I don’t think it’s fair,” she explained.  “I think it’s important for us to stand up for people and to have each others’ back, and to be involved with the gay community and support the community.”

“I’m a very open person. Love comes first for me. I don’t see people as gay or straight. I see a good person or a not good person. If you’re a good person, I will love you. It does not matter what you are,” she added.
