Victoria Beckham reportedly agrees to new Spice Girls reunion – but there’s a catch

It’s hard to believe this June marks 20 years since the Spice Girls exploded into the public’s consciousness with ‘Wannabe’ and their catalogue of pop hits that will be forever imprinted into the minds and hearts of fans.
But while most of the iconic girl band’s members have been vocal about their hopes to mark their two-decade anniversary with a reunion of some kind, Victoria Beckham has apparently been reluctant to sign up to another extensive tour like the ladies undertook back in 2007.
But this looks to all change as the Mirror reports Posh had agreed to step back on the stage, albeit under one condition.
A source has revealed that while Beckham a signed up for “a few” show with her former band mates, she won’t participate in a full tour after she “insisted” on putting her husband David and four children first.
This comes despite David reportedly being the “driving force” behind encouraging Victoria to participate.
According to reports, the 41-year-old designer has only agreed to perform in the London leg of any kind of special reunion but won’t commit to a full-blown concert tour.
“There are still lots of details to sort out, but Victoria’s said she’ll perform with the girls,” a source told The Mirror.
“However she stressed she needed to focus on David and the kids this year after a stressful 2015 of trying to juggle work and family life, so committing to all the dates would be too much.
“She already has a lot on her plate with her design empire.”
The insider adds David has been instrumental in urging his wife to take part.
The Mirror adds representatives for Posh have since denied any plans for a reunion tour are going ahead.
Both Ginger Spice Geri Halliwell and Scary Spice Mel B have repeatedly hinted at the possibility of get the girls back together to mark the occasion.
Back in September, Mel B told US talk show host Meredith Viera the former band members had been “in talks” for a full-scale world tour.
“Nothing has been announced, nothing’s official – yes, we are in talks, because it is our 20th anniversary, and I want something to happen – it better,” she said at the time.
The last time the Spice Girls all performed together was during the closing ceremony of the 2012 London Olympics – fingers crossed we won’t have long to wait to see taking girl power to the stage once again.
