Victoria Scone addresses Drag Race UK future after exit – and says Eureka’s been in touch
Exclusive: The star got emotional backstage at this week's Attitude Awards, admitting she's "heartbroken"

Victoria Scone has said she’s “heartbroken” over her early Drag Race UK exit.
On this week’s episode, the show’s first AFAB (assigned female at birth) competitor was “taken away” from the show after sustaining a knee injury on the runway in episode one.
Speaking at Wednesday’s Virgin Atlantic Attitude Awards, sponsored by Jaguar, the queen said: “I had to go and see the doctor and it was decided that I wasn’t fit enough to come back to the competition unfortunately.
“It was utterly heartbreaking at the time. And it still is now – it was such a big opportunity, espcially being the first cis woman. I’m getting emotional.”

Talking to Attitude backstage, she said of whether she’s received an open invitation to return: “They’re still showing season three, so that’s far in the future, but I haven’t been asked anything yet. But fingers crossed. They had Veronica [Green] back, so they better have me back, that’s for sure!”
She added: “My knee is a lot better now. It was a partial tear of my ACL. I luckily didn’t need surgery, just a lot of physiotherapy. I’m feeling it a little in the cold weather now, but it’s fine.”

The star also revealed that fellow RuPaul’s Drag Race star Eureka – whose show journey was also famously blighted by injury – has been in touch with words of support.
“Weirdly, she dropped me a message 10 minutes ago, sending her love!” she said when Attitude asked if she’d heard from her.
“It’s been overwhelmingly positive,” she added of the response to her stint on the show. “I prepared myself for the worst and it was more than positive. We have such diverse drag in the UK. I may be the first [cis female on the show] but I won’t be the last.”
