The star-studded first trailer for Ryan Murphy’s brand series American Crime Story here – and it’s safe to say our excitement is officially off the SCALE.
The first installment to the sister show to Murphy’s phenomenally successful American Horror Story series is based on the 1995 trial of professional footballer star O.J. Simpson, who was charged with the 1994 murder of his ex-wife Nicole Brown Simpson and her friend Robert Lyle Goldman.
It goes without saying American Crime Story: The People vs. O.J. Simpson boasts an absoultely incredible cast, who are playing some very recognisable faces. Cuba Gooding, Jr leads the cast in the titular role. John Travolta and David Schwimmer star as O.J.’s defence attorneys Robert Shapiro and Robert Kardashian respectively.
Meanwhile, American Horror Story stalwart Sarah Paulson plays lead prosecutor, Marcia Clark, while Selma Blair plays Kris Jenner (then Kardashian) and Connie Britton plays Nicole Brown Simpson’s friend Faye Resnick (who’s since found fame on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills).
That’s a whole lot of information to get your head round, so we’ll let the trailer itself do the talking – but believe us when we say we’re already setting the Sky+ box for this one.
American Crime Story premieres in US on Tuesday February 2 on FX.
