Attitude have obtained an exclusive, first-look preview of Amanda Seyfried, Christine Baranski and Dame Julie Walters performing ‘Angel Eyes’ from Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again!
The long-awaited follow-up to 2008’s ABBA-inspired musical is set to reunite the original cast an introduce some brand new faces as it explores the ’70s back story of Meryl Streep’s character Donna – though the legendary actress continues to be mysteriously absent in this latest trailer, despite being given star billing and appearing on the newly-unveiled theatrical poster.
The original Mamma Mia! became a huge commercial success when it was released a decade ago, amassing box office takings of over $600 million (£460m) from a $52 million (£39.9m) budget.
And now, Attitude have obtained a sneak-peek of just one of the songs which will be featured in the upcoming sequel and it looks to be just as funny as the original movie.
The song was released back in 1979 and it is not one of ABBA’s well-known songs – unlike the likes of ‘Dancing Queen’, ‘Mamma Mia’ and ‘I Had a Dream’.
However, we know this movie will deal with Seyfried’s character Sophie being pregnant and with lyrics such as “Look into his angel eyes/ One look and you’re hypnotized/ He’ll take your heart and you must pay the price/ Look into his angel eyes” it could be hinted she is having a boy… but that is pure speculation!
We seriously cannot wait to see this film and we already know it is going to be as successful as the first movie. Mamma Mia! Here We Go Again is released in UK cinemas July 20.
