Watch: Bette Midler revives ‘Hocus Pocus’ mid-concert

In the next phase of her campaign for a sequel to Hocus Pocus, Bette Midler has revived her character from the 1993 comedy classic on stage.
The 69-year-old, who is currently taking her Divine Intervention tour round the States, takes to the stage as witch ringleader Winifred “Winnie” Sanderson to perform I Put A Spell on You.
A video of Midler’s performance in Arizona last month has appeared online, during which she can be heard to scream: “I’m ready for my sequel, Mr Disney!”
While she’s flanked by two back-up dancers in full witchy get-up, sadly co-stars Kathy Najimy and Sarah Jessica Parker are nowhere to be seen – though Midler previously revealed that the pair we also ready reprise their roles in eternal youth-seeking coven.
Hocus Pocus tells the story of three Salem witches who are inadvertently resurrected by a teenage girl before wrecking havoc on the town. Despite garnering negative review son its original release, the film has gone on to become a Halloween classic. So listen up Disney, The Divine Miss M has spoken.
