Afrer revealing that he spent time in prison during season 4 of RuPaul’s Drag Race, fan favourite queen Latrice Royale is opening up about his time behind bars for new documentary Gays in Prison.
Latrice – aka Timothy Wilcots – didn’t elaborate about his time in jail during the show, but in the new film by Christopher Hines, the 43-year-old takes an unflinching look at the harsh realities of life for LGBT inmates.The documentary sees Wilcots and other LGBT inmates explore the threats of violence, assault and rape that they face on a daily basis, and whether it’s possible to remain true to yourself during your sentence.
