Watch: Gay YouTuber confronts his childhood bully
Irish gay YouTuber Riyadh confronts a childhood bully in his latest video – and the confrontation doesn’t go quite as expected.
Having not spoken for several years, Riyadh calls the former bully out of the blue. He explains:
“I thought I would be a guinea pig,to show that after time passes, your bullies end up being just normal people. They’re not evil, it’s not some scar that should remain there forever. I want to find out why he did what he did.”
He tells the bully: “I would remember being at the locker, and you and a few of the lads would walk by together, and I would hear stuff said about me.
The usual names – faggot, queer, poof. Did you know you were causing me to feel that way?”
However, his former bully seems surprised that his actions had such an effect. Take a look:
Ridayh’s verdict at the end of the call? “I don’t think that could have gone better than it did.”
Ridayh’s becoming known for his inventive use of the humble phone in his YouTube videos – in the past he’s called the Westboro Baptist Church for advice (spoiler: they weren’t in a helpful mood) and let his mum read out his Grindr messages (gasp).
