Watch: Gwen Stefani premieres new track at New York gig
Gwen Stefani’s new solo album has been in the pipeline for what feels like a century, but the star kept the hype alive last night by premiering a brand new song at a gig.
The track, Used To Love You, was showcased at the Hammerstein Ballroom in Manhattan, New York, and is a midtempo bop that wouldn’t sound out of place on the recent Selena Gomez or Tove Lo albums.
Gwen’s last solo album, The Sweet Escape, was released in 2006, while her multi-platinum-selling debut Love. Angel. Music. Baby. came out in 2004.
This new album’s lead single Baby Don’t Lie peaked at No46 in the US and did not receive a UK release.
She’s confirmed to have been working with the likes of Ryan Tedder, Benny Blanco, Pharrell Williams, Charli XCX, Sia and Mattman & Robin on the new record, which still doesn’t have a release date.
Come along, Gwen…
