Katherine Heigl is getting married in yet another movie, but this time there’s a twist: it’s to a woman!
The 36-year-old rom-com queen stars in Jenny’s Wedding as a women forced to finally come out to her family when she decides to tie the knot to her girlfriend, played by Gilmore Girls’ Alexis Bledel.
After she comes out, Jenny’s straight-laced parents struggle to come to terms with their daughter’s sexuality, and a rift grows in the family – but will they make it Jenny’s big day? (Frankly we hope there’s a twist to this formula and the answer is a straight ‘no’).
Written and directed by the woman behind Beaches, Mary Agnes Donoghue, the film also stars Primetime Emmy Award winner Tom Wilkinson and Tony nominee Linda Emond as jenny’s parents.
Jenny’s Wedding is released on July 31 in the US. Watch the trailer below:
