Watch: Kylie and Jake Shears bring the house down for NERVO’s ‘The Other Boys’
By Will Stroude
Earlier this month we brought you all the behind the scenes goss and pictures from the set of NERVO’s video shoot with Kylie and Jake Shears for their incredible new collaboration ‘The Other Boys’, and finally the finished result of that unbelievable gay-a-thon is here!
‘The Other Boys’ also features a blinding guitar solo from Nile Rogers himself, who describes the instant gay classic as a “delightful disco-dream come true.”
The NERVO twins previously worked with Kylie on the track Put Your Hands Up (If You Feel Love) from the singer’s 2010 album Aphrodite, while her self-described ‘BFF’ Shears also worked on White Diamond and Too Much for the record.
“We’re both a couple of nut cases and having a performer friend there’s an added understanding,” Kylie said of Jake when we caught up with the pair last week.
The 47-year-old – who recently announced plans for her first ever Christmas album – added: “Sometimes we don’t even need to talk about stuff, we just understand. Like he might say I haven’t been on stage for a while and I need to get back out there, and I’m like ‘I get ya, you need to go out and do it’. Or talking about the rigors of touring or trying to find that single.”
Watch the roof-raising fruits of the pair’s labour below:
Meanwhile, if you’re yet to check out our exclusive behind the scenes pictures and goss from the set – including a chat with Miss Minogue herself – then what are are you waiting for?! Head over here to see it now.
