Watch Lady Gaga open up about her sexuality

Lady Gaga has spoken candidly about her sexuality in a behind-the-scenes video from her new cover shoot with PORTER magazine.

During the interview, the singer explains that she doesn’t think her sexuality or gender define her as an artist.

“My sexuality doesn’t play a very big part in my life like that,” she says. “It’s much of like, an animalistic-pure-thing, and I struggled with understanding it my whole life, because I felt more connected to male artists, rock ‘n roll, and glam culture”.

Gaga continues: “Today we tried wigs on, and the ones that were maybe more ‘girly’ or pretty… I felt uncomfortable, because that’s just not how I see my music. There’s a certain power in ignoring any pretence about sexual orientation or gender.”

She then sums up her views on her sexuality by saying: “Some people are really driven by their sexuality and it’s a part of who they are. It’s just not for me.”
