A rare, searing Lady Gaga performance of ‘Applause’ at the 2013 iTunes Festival at London’s Roundhouse is making a return to the internet exclusively via Attitude.
Broadcast at the time through Apple TV and on iOS devices, fans were able to re-watch the footage via the iTunes Festival: Live in London download.
However, the performance – which took place on 1 September 2013 – ‘has been re-released online through Qello Concerts by Stingray as part of its Qello Concerts World Tour, which takes place from 12 April–2 May.
The release coincides with Artpop, the parent album of ‘Applause’, reclimbing the charts as fans petition for the LP’s long-rumoured sequel.
“I fell apart after I released this album”
Addressing the campaign on Twitter this week, Gaga said: “The petition to #buyARTPOPoniTunes for a volume II has inspired such a tremendous warmth in my heart. Making this album was like heart surgery, I was desperate, in pain, and poured my heart into electronic music that slammed harder than any drug I could find.”
“I fell apart after I released this album,” she added. “Thank you for celebrating something that once felt like destruction. We always believed it was ahead of its time. Years later turns out, sometimes, artists know. And so do little monsters. Paws up.”

At the time of writing, Artpop – which received a mixed reception from music critics at the time of its release – was at number one on the Worldwide iTunes Album Chart.
A sequel is certainly possible. In 2013, Gaga tweeted a fan who asked if she was working on a follow-up: “Yes, lots of songs for ACT TWO!”
Qello Concerts World Tour, a three-week showcase of live music, has already hosted performances by the likes of Blondie and Slash, with more to come from the Spice Girls, Muse, and more.
