Watch Leona Lewis fill in for Sam Smith on ‘La La La’

Leona Lewis filled in for Sam Smith during a recent live performance of Naughty Boy’s La La La.

Smith provided vocals on the R&B-flavoured track, which reached Number One on the UK’s Official Singles Chart when it was released last year, and was later nominated for the Best British Single prize at the BRIT Awards.

Lewis helped Naughty Boy to perform the song at the World Music Awards in May, which were broadcast on 4Music earlier this week. After the song opened as a stripped-back ballad with Naughty Boy accompanying her on the piano, Lewis proceeded to sing La La La over the track’s familiar midtempo beats and Smith’s original vocals.
