Watch One Direction, Sam Smith in Band Aid 30 video

The Band Aid 30 charity single is now on sale, after being officially unveiled on last night’s X Factor results show (November 16).
One Direction, Sam Smith and Rita Ora are among the stars to have recorded a new version of Sir Bob Geldof’s Do They Know It’s Christmas?, which features updated lyrics.
The proceeds of the single will go towards helping to fight the Ebola crisis in western Africa, which Geldof has described as “the most anti-human disease”. Bono, Paloma Faith, Olly Murs, Jessie Ware, Sinead O’Connor and Coldplay’s Chris Martin also appear on the track.
Meanwhile, UK chancellor George Osborne has promised to waive VAT on all sales of the single in order to help the effort.
The Band Aid 30 single is available to download for 99p, with the CD single priced at £4. Watch the music video below:
