Watch: Rob Lowe is cruising for guys on Grindr

By Attitude Magazine

Back in August we brought you the news that advertising for actor Rob Lowe’s new TV show, The Grinder, was causing much snickering among the gays of social media. The tagline for the show, about a particularly tenacious lawyer? ‘The Grinder: There’s no-one he can’t get off.’

We weren’t quite sure if those behind the show were aware that they’d named their program after the most popular gay men’s hook-up app, but it seems at least Lowe himself has embraced the similarity.

In a new sketch for Jimmy Kimmel Live, an adorably wide-eyed and innocent Lowe laments the fact that millions of people at home are no doubt watching his new TV show all by themselves.

“But now they don’t have to, thanks to this very cool new app I discovered called Grindr,” he says.

“Grindr is a neat networking app that lets guys who like watching The Grinder connect with other guys in their area who also like watching The Grinder, so they can meet up and watch The Grinder. How fun is that?”

“Oh, this guy’s DTF,” Lowe says, looking at one guy’s profile.

“So am I – Definite Television Fan!”

Oh Rob Lowe. Poor, sweet, innocent Rob Lowe. Check out the skit below:
