Watch: Sam Smith gets measured up at Madame Tussauds

Grammy award-winning artist Sam Smith is to be immortalised in wax at Madame Tussauds San Francisco, with Smith joining the ranks of musical legends such as Elton John and Adele in the attraction’s Music Zone next week.

But before the unveiling, we got our mitts on a sneak preview of Smith getting measured up for the part:

Madame Tussauds General Manager Chris Connors said the global attraction was honoured to celebrate the Stay with Me singer’s accomplishments. “We can’t wait to offer his fans a chance to get up close to one of the best-loved singers of his generation,” he said.

Having made his break as the featured vocalist in Disclosure’s Latch, Sam Smith’s 2014 album In the Lonely Hour was one of the biggest records worldwide last year.

Smith last week took to social media to encourage his fans to discover they classic Australian gay memoir – and now film – Holding The Man, saying it had “changed my life.”
