The first trailer for the new Netflix series inspired by Dolly Parton music has been released – and it teases a queer romance.
This month, the iconic country singer’s new eight-part Netflix series, Heartstrings, is set to drop on the streaming giant and it looks pretty darn good!
According to the synopsis, the new series will bring eight of Dolly’s famous songs to life but not in a docuseries, but more a collection of movies based around a different classic song.
The series will feature the likes of ‘These Old Bones’, ‘If I had Wings’, ‘JJ Sneed’, ‘Cracker Jack’, ‘Sugar Hill’, ‘Down from Dover’, ‘Two Doors Down’ and the fantastic ‘Jolene’.
In the trailer, we see some of the cast including Ginnifer Goodwin, Colin O’Donoghue, Julianne Hough, Michael Willett, Delta Burke, Kathleen Turner and the country singer herself who will introduce each episode and appear throughout.
The trailer also teased a same-sex romance in one of the episodes and we cannot wait to see what happens!
Heartstrings will drop on Netflix from November 22. Check out the trailer below:
