Watch | Years & Years cover Britney Spears at Jingle Bell Ball
By Will Stroude
While Justin Bieber may have stolen the show with his shirtless antics at Capital’s Jingle Bell Ball this weekend, another set certainly caught out eye, as one of our faves covered another of our all-time faves.
Yep, Years & Years decided to tackle the Britney Spears classic Toxic in front of thousands of screaming fans at the O2 arena on Saturday night, and its safe to say we enjoyed the result. The boys are no strange to an early noughties throwback either – Sean Paul and Blu Cantrell’s ‘Breathe’ has been a staple of their gigs all year.
Meanwhile, Will Young took to Twitter over the weekend to praise the band’s loveable frontman Olly Alexander for opening up about his mental health struggles in the pages of this month’s Attitude – click here to find out more.
