YouTube star Ingrid Nilsen has come out as gay in a new video.

The 26-year-old beauty vlogger Nilsen shared a video entitled ‘Something I Want You To Know (Coming Out)’ on Tuesday (June 9), saying, “I’m not going to apologise for who I am anymore.”

Fighting back tears as she addressed her 3 million followers, the beauty expert said, “There’s something that I want you to know, and that something is I’m gay.

“It feels so good to say that.”

She also discussed her previous straight relationships, as well as her struggle to come to terms with her sexuality.

“I have had this wall up for so much of my life, but it wasn’t like this brick or stone wall.

“I’ve described it to my friends as this glass wall, where you could see me but you were never getting all of me, because there was always that barrier there.”

She added, “I want to live my life unapologetically because I am proud of who I am and I am not going to apologise for who I am anymore.”

The video has been viewed over 2 million times since it was posted.
