Will Ferrell is set to star and write a film based around the Eurovision Song Contest.
There is currently no synopsis for the film yet but it will simply be titled Eurovision and of course it makes sense to have an American make star in a film based around the popular singing contest, according to The Guardian.
Ferrell is teaming up with Netflix in order to create the new movie based around the annual singing contest, which was created in 1956.
It has been confirmed that Will is set to produce the project through his Gary Sanchez company, and he is penning the script in partnership with Andrew Steele.
Ferrell was actually seen at this year’s song contest and admitted he became a fan of the show when he was introduced to it by his Swedish wife in 1999.
Eurovision sees participating countries submit and perform original songs and although Australia takes part, North and South America and Canada have never taken part.
