Will Young is taking an “elongated break” from music.
The Pop Idol winner hasn’t released any new music since his sixth album ‘85% Proof’ back in 2015 but he has always remained in the spotlight whether that be through Strictly Come Dancing or on the West End.
But Young – who has been vocal with his suffering of mental health issues – has reportedly signed on to take part in a dry stone walling course in a bid to combat his stress and anxiety and said he doesn’t know whether he will be returning to music.
He told The Sun: “I find doing anything with the hands is very therapeutic.
“I’m taking an elongated break. Actually I don’t know if I’ll go back to it. I like to do things that get me excited.”
Young is currently starring in the stage adaption of Strictly Ballroom and has been praised for his acting and singing abilities.
