X Factor star Andrea Faustini has signed to RCA Records.
The Italian singer finished third on the most recent series of the ITV competition, losing out to Fleur East and winner Ben Haenow, both of whom have signed to Simon Cowell’s Syco.
Confirming the news on Twitter, Faustini wrote: “It happened! Words can’t describe my happiness in announcing I’ve signed to @RCARecords.”
Meanwhile an insider told the Daily Star that fans can expect an album of “predominantly original material”, with Faustini set to begin recording in LA next week.
“Label bosses are confident he can be an international star with the right songs and are on the lookout for some of the world’s best writers to work with him,” the source told the paper.
“In fact, some songs have already been submitted for him which are big, epic power ballads.”
