Fresh from Drag Race UK Season 4, Le Fil has released a sensational new EP, Le Filosophical (Part II)

The EP features five brand new tracks that represent the second half of Le Fil’s Drag Race UK experience with each track embodying a different runway look.

As the name suggests, the British-Chinese singer’s Le Filosophical (Part II) EP is the second half of the exciting body of work – the first of its kind!

“I’m so excited to release Le Filosophical Part (II),” Le Fil shares in a statement. They placed seventh on Drag Race after being sent home by Black Peppa.

“When I designed the looks, I always thought of the entire world they exist in. I wrote these songs to give further context to my visual creations. It’s like a diary of the last year,” they add.

The EP boldly opens with ‘Alive’ which thrums with a beat ready for the dance floor. Drag Race UK series three’s River Medway makes an appearance on the disco-tinged ‘Yin To My Yang’. Meanwhile, on the tail end of the album are the politically charged punk-themed ‘Down’ and ‘Woman,’ which covers explores the fetishisation within their relationships.

Le Fil shares that each runway outfit told a story that could easily be missed within the show. However, through songwriting, Le Fil seeks to “regain control of how my artistry is presented, so that I could capture, and honour, all my messages within Le Filosophical.”

They continue, “Both these EPs really reflect this moment in time, but also have messages that are super important for our future too.”

Le Filosophical (Part II) is available to stream now.
