RuPaul’s Drag Race UK series four has crowned its winner

Warning: Spoilers follow for the final episode of RuPaul’s Drag Race UK series four.

After a nail-biting grand finale, the fourth series of Drag Race UK has crowned its winner. This is your last chance to avoid spoilers!

The winner of Drag Race UK series four is… Danny Beard!

On Thursday (24 November) the bearded queen took the crown after it was brought down to a final two: Danny Beard and Cheddar Gorgeous.

In an episode that saw the four finalists – Danny, Cheddar, Black Peppa, and Jonbers Blonde – perform a lip sync to a sensational megamix of RuPaul hits the decision came down to a final lip sync which saw the Liverpudlian ultimately claim victory.

Following on from last week’s episode, Danny and Cheddar entered tonight’s finale with four RuPeter badges apiece. It was here, after returning to the werkroom one final time that Mama Ru brought the final four their last maxi challenge: to each write their own verse to one of RuPaul’s best-known tracks and bring the house down with some killer choreo.

The four songs chosen were: ‘Sissy That Walk’, ‘The Realness’, ‘Call Me Mother’, and ‘Kitty Girl’.

As the queens prepared for their final performances they discuss whether the series had matched their expectations, all agreeing it was a lot harder than they thought it would be.

“It’s the endurance of it,” comments Cheddar before Jonbers adds, “I’ve just loved every second of it.”

Black Peppa, who has opened up about their upbringing in St. Martin in the Caribbean on the show and the journey they’ve been on says “I am living proof you can accomplish whatever you want.”

Following the group performance, which featured all the queens of series four, and a final runway RuPaul narrowed the competition down to a final two. Danny and Cheddar then went head to head in a dramatic lip sync to Dame Shirley Bassey’s ‘This Is My Life’, which Danny won.
