Rylan Clark left text messages from Dan Neal out of his book
"I got so ill last year that I don’t need to do that."
Rylan Clark has been opening up about his new book Ten: The Decade That Changed My Future, and has shared that he left some text messages out from his ex-partner out because “I didn’t want to live it.”
The TV presenter announced last year that he and Neal were divorcing after six years together. Clark has since shared that he’s been in and out of hospital and at one point his heart had to be restarted following two heart failures.
Appearing on The One Show on Thursday (29 September) the presenter shared: “There were things that I was going to put in the book that I ended up, I didn’t from a legal point of view.”
Rylan Clark claims the messages weren’t “anything salacious” but “just things like I’d received a text saying XYZ and then the legal team would say like, ‘Can you just show us that text so we can prove it if ever,’ and I was like sure, and just scrolling back, I was like, I can’t do this.”
He then said: “So I took it out because I didn’t want to live it. I got so ill last year that I don’t need to do that.”
At an event at the Royal Albert Hall recently, Rylan indicated he was still looking for love and that he was frightened of being on his own. However, he also said that being on his own had taught him an important lesson.
Earlier today (Friday 30 September) the former Big Brother star appeared on Lorraine to discuss his book. Speaking to Christine Lampard as she filled in for Lorraine Rylan Clark discussed wanting to come back for Big Brother’s reboot, which is set to happen next year.
“Of course, I’d love to go back to Big Brother. It feels like my second home,” he says. He’s not been shy about his wanting for the show to return over the years and recently has teased fans he may be a part of the presenting lineup before clarifying he wasn’t booked in just yet.
Addressing this he told Lampard, “I don’t know what they’re doing at the moment. They’re still making decisions. It might be a fresh new team,” before adding, “Hopefully I’ll be working on it.”
