2017 saw a number of celebrities come out and join the LGBT community. Coming out and LGBT visibility has never been more important, so let’s take a look back at all the famous figures who came out in 2017.

The Riveras reality star Johnny Lopez came out as gay in a heartfelt YouTube video where he explained he was “in a gay relationship right now” and “in love” after a photo of him and his boyfriend went viral on social media (Click here to read more).

Former Team GB swimmer and Strictly Come Dancing star Mark Foster came out as gay in an exclusive interview with Winq Magazine in which he revealed he wanted to “be a bit more authentic” (Click here to read more).

Gordon Thomson

Dynasty star Gordon Thomson came out as gay in an interview with The Daily Best in which he revealed “it’s not something I’ve ever announced” before he said “I’m assuming that people know” (Click here to read more).

Shannon Purser

Former Stranger Things actress came out as bisexual in response to backlash after reportedly dismissing a relationship between two female characters in Riverdale.
